About Harmony Counseling Services

Karen Harmon-Berry, LCSW

I started Harmony Counseling Services in Eaton, Ohio in 2019 after working with a group practice for many years. My goal was to work on my personal and professional growth, and to expand couples therapy options in the area. My desire is to continue this journey in Savannah, Georgia.  My family recently decided to make a huge change in our lives and relocate to Savannah.  It has been a challenge, to say the least, but we are very excited to start a new chapter in our lives.

Healthy relationships are the foundation to a healthy society.  We are happier people when we are in fulfilling loving relationships, and we raise healthier happier children as well. I am very passionate about this work and hope to share my love and knowledge with couples in Savannah. I offer hourly therapy sessions, and also enrichment workshops/retreats on the weekends for couples wanting to really dig in and invest a lot of time up front to improve their relationships.

I have a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati and more than 22 years of work experience in the field of social work/counseling/therapy. In addition to couples counseling, I have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, adjustment to life transitions, LGBTQ+ related concerns, and adolescent issues. For over 6 years, I provided mental health counseling in Preble County, Ohio public schools for students of all ages. I feel that I connect better with older children and teens, and am able to provide individual counseling to those over the age of 13.

Therapy is most effective when you have a strong relationship with your therapist and I try to connect to each client and understand your individual feelings and experiences so that I can help support you through your journey. I genuinely believe in people and the ability to heal with guidance, support, and gentle coaching. I understand that it is not easy being vulnerable and opening yourself up to a stranger; I consider it an honor and  privilege to do this work. After our first session, there is no pressure to reschedule.  I ask that you reflect and contact me for another appointment.  It is never my intention to make you feel like I am selling you something.  I do not want to waste your time if you do not feel that we are not a good fit.

Please contact me via email or phone for more information, or to set up an initial appointment.
