Individual Therapy
In addition to couples counseling, I see many individuals alone, and I approach each individual as unique. The most common reason that my clients come to therapy is due to struggling with depression and anxiety. I have many years of experience working with these difficult mental health issues, as well as grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions/stress of life.
As far as types of therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and CBT are my favorite theories, but, I rely on more of an eclectic approach depending on needs and preferences of my clients. If you are interested in couples therapy, but your partner is not interested, you are welcome to come alone. It is possible to make progress with only one party present, however, this needs to be done with a therapist who has extensive knowledge and experience working with couples and relationships.
My sessions are one hour in length and are $100/session for indiviudal therapy. I do not take insurance. I do offer lower rates for those on limited income. Please discuss this with me in advance. HSA cards are accepted as well.
